DVD Review: McMahon

This is the blog’s first ever dvd review and I thought what better way than to kick it off with a review with possibly one of the best dvds that I have ever seen the new McMahon dvd. If you were to meet any one of my family members and you asked them, what kind of thing does Scott want to see as far as a dvd or a book, they would tell you I’m sure that I have always wanted to see something like that for Vince McMahon. The reason that I have always wanted to see something like that is because my dream for when I get older is to be a wrestling promoter and there is not a better way that I can think of than from learning through a dvd or book about Vince McMahon. Whether you love him or you hate him, he is one of if not the most brilliant man this industry has ever seen and this dvd tells you of how he got to the big dance of leading the WWE. This dvd went through how he started out working for his dad in the old WWWF that is now the WWE as an announcer. It goes through his early relationship with Ted Turner on the old WTBS station that ran some of Vince’s shows until they parted ways and how Ted went on to own WCW and the whole Monday Night War. His classic feuds with Hogan and Stone Cold are mentioned on there as well. It talks about the XFL and the purchase of WCW. He goes in depth about the Kiss My a** club, his dysfunctional family, HHH and Stephanie dating, and McMahonism. If you remember I did a post on the McMahonism thing and when I saw they were going to address that, I thought I am finally going to find out what was Vince thinking when he did that but sadly, he didn’t address it personally. He had a old promoter by the name of Les Thatcher address it instead and that is the only thing dissappointing about that whole dvd. The extras are phenomenal. they have his classic matches on there like when he wrestled Hogan, Austin, Undertaker, and his very own daughter Stephanie. One thing in particular though that disgusted me on that dvd and if you want to know how sick and twisted Vince can be listen to this. When Stephanie was pregnant, Vince wanted to do a storyline on it about who the father was and do you want to know who he first suggested for the father? HIMSELF!!!!! How sick is that and when Steph said no, he then suggested Shane. Thank goodness that program never went through because could you even imagine the contreversy that would spark up. I know good contreversy creates more money but that is completely overstepping the line. Overall it is a very good dvd and I suggest to anyone that is a wrestling fan to go out and buy it.

Before I leave you with this post. I would like to tell everyone that I have been working with the WWWA (World Wide Wrestling Alliance and they are hooking me up with the blog’s second inter view and you will have to stay tuned to see who it is. I will say though that remember my tag team post, well this guy is one half of the rowdiest and greatest tag teams of all time. So stay tuned to the blog because I will announce when the interview is up on Eric Gargiuolo’s Pro Wrestling Radio show. Thanks again everyone that visits my site.
