This Week In Pro Wrestling Sep. 19-23

I am sorry that I missed the past couple of weeks in pro wrestling but I have been busy with school and football but I am back for an amzing week in wrestling. Now, lets get to covering this past week in wrestling.

This Week On Raw
It was a major announcement this week that in a couple of weeks, WWE will host a homecoming and some of this industy’s major players past and present, will return. One guy I can not wait to see again is HHH who has been out of action since Vengeance last June. Some of the other stars include Hulk Hogan, Mick Foley, and Stone Cold Steve Austin. I do believe at least 1 of these guys is going to get in the ring for a match or just stir up some trouble. You can count on Stone Cold at least causing some mischief and like it always is, it will most likely be very entertaining. They announced a huge match card for that show including a WWE Title match pitting champ John Cena against Raw GM Eric Bischoff. It will also be 3 hours long so it is just like a Raw PPV but you can watch it for free. Don’t forget, it will be returning to the USA network that night so watch out for a huge show. John Cena is gaining alot of momentum as his career is taking off like it never has before. With him having an awesome match against Kurt Angle for the title. Watch out for a Ric Flair-HHH feud to spark off on this night also.

Match Results From Sep. 19 Raw
IC champ Ric Flair def. Carlito
World Tag Team co-champ Trevor Murdoch def. The Hurricane
Women’s champ Trish Stratus def. Torrie Wilson
Tyson Tomko def. Eddie Craven
8 Man Tag Match: John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, and Matt Hardy def. Chris Masters, Edge, Snitsky, and Kurt Angle

This Week On Smackdown
I do believe that when Smackdown went to Friday nights, now after seeing it for a couple of weeks, has turned for the better actually. Smackdown is seemingly getting more entertaining since it moved over and it’s storylines as of late should show you that. Orton-Undertaker has to be 1 of the best programs to come along on Smackdown in a very long time with these 2 men having great matches and doing great promos. Batista finally finished up his program with JBL (thank god) when Smackdown first aired on it’s first Friday night and over the past couple of weeks, has moved into a feud with Eddie Guererro. A feud that I see a big dollar sign on as these 2 men have been very entertaining in the past couple of weeks. Also, a new young, strong stud arrived on Smackdown last night, that being Bobby Lashley. Also a very impressive character named Ken Kennedy has arrived and has dominated ever since he debuted.

Match Results From Sep. 23 Smackdown
Bobby Lashley def. Simon Dean
Booker T def. Christian
Hardcore Holly def Sylvan Grenier (countout)
Ken Kennedy def. Rey Mysterio
U.S. Title: Chris Benoit (champ) def. Orlando Jordan
LOD def. Anthony Coleti and Jared Steele
Batista and Eddie Guererro def. MNM

Major news story
Both of thes stories come right out of WWE. The WWE has openly invited the Ultimate Warrior to voice his opinions on WWE’s web show Byte This! about the controversial DVD that WWE released about him
Also WWE and Muhammad Hassan have parted ways after Hassan has not been on t.v for the past couple of months but his manager, Daivari decides to stay and you can get the full scoop on both of these stories at www.wwe.com

This Week In Pro Wrestling Aug. 29- Sep. 4

What a week in wrestling. I don’t want to sit here and bore you to death with stupid yippidy do dahs and some other words to describe this past week in wrestling.

This Week On Raw:
On Raw this week, there really wasn’t that much of storyline altering events. There was 1 and that was the Edge-Hardy storyline and they are seemingly doing a better job now than they did a month ago by passing this feud as a shoot. I really wonder what they are going to say about these 2 guys because they made it sound and look like that these 2 guys were actually really hurt. Kurt Angle and John Cena is a feud that was great over on Smackdown but can they do equal or even better than what they did on Smackdown or will this feud on Raw just be a flop. Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels are a great tag team now but if you look at logic, why are these guys partners all of a sudden. A year ago, these guys were out for each other’s blood and they had a very entertaining feud on t.v. . Now a year later, these guys are going to be a team which I don’t really mind but why did they just become partners all of a sudden, and 1 more thing, where is that leaving HHH. Ric Flair and HHH were the 2 remaining members of Evolution and best friends and then these guys leave at the same time with Ric coming back from out of nowhere and teaming with 1 of HHH’s biggest rivals. I dont know. Maybe this a start to having HHH come back and when he does, he and Ric Flair are going to have a feud, I don’t know what to say.

Match Results From Aug. 29 Raw:
Handicap Match: Big Show def. Buck Quartermain and Steve Madison
Victoria def. Ashley
Street Fight: Matt Hardy vs. Edge (No Contest)
Tyson Tomko def. Rosey (KO)
Carlito and Chris Masters def. Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair via submission

I didn’t see that much of Smackdown this week but I do now, they are hyping their new day, that being Friday Night Smackdown. They are making some good matches including a Texas Bullrope match with JBL taking on Batista for the World title again. Like I said on last week’s blog YAY (not really). But, sad to say, I do think this time, they will out the belt back on JBL.

Match Results From Sep. 1 Smackdown:
Heidenreich def. Joey Mercury
Ken Kennedy def. Booker T
Chris Benoit def. Orlando Jordan
Randy Orton def. Rey Mysterio
Batista def. Simon Dean
Christy Hemme vs. Stacy Keibler (no contest)
William Regal and Paul Burchill def. Funaki and Scotty 2 Hotty

Now at the beginning of the blog when I said what a week in wrestling, I meant political wise. TNA is hyping their debut on Spike TV by airing commercials even during Raw this past week. I don’t think Raw minds though because they debut again on USA on October 3, 2 days after Impact’s debut on Spike TV. Dusty Rhodes has signed onto the WWE rosterand you can get the full story at www.wwe.com. Thank you again for stoppng by and reading this week’s post.
